The selected candidate will be the Legal Department’s first-chair trial lawyer, responsible for spearheading the litigation docket.
Cases typically consist of personal injury, business, and habitability matters.
The business cases are 50/50 plaintiff/defense.

Responsibilities
First chair trial lawyer to leading a team of professionals.
Engage in pre-litigation dispute resolution efforts.
Draft pleadings, write motion, take depositions and other related documents.
Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes.
Conduct legal research and analysis to develop appropriate strategies for cases.
Assist with supervising and mentoring other in-house attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants.
Requirements
10+ years of legal experience with an insurance defense or eviction prosecution background
10+ years of experience as first chair jury trials preferred.
Member in good standing of the California Bar.
Combination of law firm and in-house experience a plus.
Computer literacy with a Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
