Facebook seeks a highly motivated, energetic tech enthusiast to serve as Product Counsel for Facebook’s AI product counseling team.
You will advise the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning teams on legal and regulatory issues, which will require application of complex and evolving legal frameworks to a new and innovative space.

Lead Counsel, AI Product Responsibilities:
Serve as primary legal partner for several AI product and policy teams working on proposed AI and ML initiatives, including research and publications, to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
Lead consensus building across legal and coordinate legal advice across complex and multifaceted legal issues such as data protection and privacy, intermediary liability, consumer protection, security, e-commerce, payments, integrity and other global legal frameworks
Coordinate with public policy, communications, product management, engineering, product marketing, trust and safety, and other cross-functional teams on external communications, policy development, and product development and launches
Minimum Qualifications:
J.
D.
(or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.
S.
state bar
5+ years experience counseling clients in-house or in a law firm
Experience with product or regulatory counseling related to areas of law such as consumer protection, privacy, data security, and intellectual property law
Experience working independently and cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
In-house experience
Understanding of AI and ML practices and underlying technology
Experience in product counseling role building and supporting products
