Our team at Gomez Law is looking for a talented and motivated Law Clerk to join our team! As a Law Clerk, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced attorneys and contribute to meaningful legal work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Compiling legal research to assist lawyers with cases.
Drafting, reviewing, and editing documents for clarity and accuracy.
Assisting lawyers in the office and courtroom with trials and hearings.
Communicating with parties regarding trials and schedules.
Assemble case materials by collecting, organizing, and summarizing information.
Updating court calendars and schedules.
REQUIREMENTS: 3L law student or recent law school graduate.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to learn to use Westlaw to conduct legal research and analysis.
Experience and/or understanding of drafting pleadings, motions and discovery.
Strong understanding of civil court procedures and deadlines.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Friendly and professional on the phone and in person with staff and clients.
