The Role
At the heart of our mission to excel in the USA market, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring our system and homes surpass the highest standards of compliance with all the relevant legislation, codes, and industry norms.
How you will make an impact
Your expertise in building code compliance, especially within the innovative field of prefab and modular homes, will be instrumental in ZURU Tech's entry into the USA market.
You'll become the go-to advisor in our project, working closely with colleagues from across the business to ensure our product and buildings meet and exceed all essential building-specific requirements.
Your role is pivotal to our successful market launch in the USA.
Your core responsibilities
Developing and updating code compliance strategies, programs and training materials for internal teams and contractors.
Identifying and assessing potential risks and issues related to building codes and standards and recommending corrective actions or solutions.
Liaising with external agencies, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with their requirements and expectations.
Reporting on compliance performance, findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
Exhibiting strong problem-solving and technical acumen with a focus on continuing improvement in inter-disciplinary teams.
Prepare protocols and procedures for physical testing of ZURU products and provide feedback to various teams involved in the Product Design and Fabrication.
Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams on an assembly of products that need to meet prescriptive or performance-based design from the perspective of fire-protection and life-safety standards.
Collaborate and prepare protocols for product testing to meet various levels of fire-rated approvals or certifications.
Prepare benchmark templates for additional test and analysis as required for worldwide application.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field.
Excellent knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations at Local, State, and National level.
8+ plus years of experience in building code compliance-related fields.
A certification or license in building code compliance.
Experience with Modular, Prefabricated Construction, Product Compliance.
Experience in building codes requirements for California, Texas, and Arizona.
Working with Building Authorities for approvals, testing and product certification.
