*About the Position:*
IMCES has an immediate opening for a General Counsel Staff Attorney with a specific background in California Labor Law relevant to State and Federal Labor Law and Healthcare Contracts with the government.
*Primary Duties and Responsibilities:*
Working directly with management for policy implementation and employment law compliance.
· Direct knowledge of Los Angeles County health and mental health contract, assuring compliance.
· Assist in the development and administer personnel policies and procedures.
· Perform benefits administration.
· Administer and monitor the performance evaluation program.
· Work to protect and prevent any potential claims against the agency.
· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for applicable Labor Law.
*Minimum Requirements*
· Expertise and experience in risk assessment and risk management in the context of Community Clinic Organizations.
· Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal).
· Ability to work as a team player and work independently.
*Required Education/Experience*
· J.
D.
Degree
· Licensed Attorney with relevant experience
· Knowledge of current Employment and Labor Laws
· Ability to Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity.
