As a Legal Assistant, your duties are to prepare files for court, maintain and update court calendars and firm calendars, maintain regular communication with clients, draft petitions and motions, communicate with legal professionals (i.
e.
court staff, opposing counsel, expert witnesses), and provide assistance to the attorneys, as needed.
Attention to detail, a professional attitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting are required.
Qualifications:
Must be bilingual (Spanish)
Excellent grammar
Well organized and detail-oriented
Must be comfortable communicating with court clerks, District Attorneys, DMV representatives
Job Duties:
Client management (extensive client interaction)
Calendering
Draft pleadings
Updating and maintaining case file
Reviewing discovery
Communicating with court clerks, District Attorneys, DMV representatives
Jail and court visits with attorneys
