American living in Europe seeks spring/summer job in Long Beach (Long Beach)

Hi, I am an American writer living in Europe.
money is slow where I am so I will be coming to Long Beach to find work this spring/summer.
I have experience as a server at fine dining restaurants as well as experience in clothing design and styling although I left that years ago and am not interested in pursuing that field any longer.
I am good with people, sober, eager to work, in a good mood.
I understand this isn't a normal request but I'm hoping to come across someone who is open to employing an American writer who is set on seeing it through.
I have good references from my last places of work and can provide when asked for.
I am 37 years old.
