The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric
Cardiology, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics.
This position is in the subspecialty area of Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation, with specific expertise in exercise and rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular or multisystem disease.
Interest in clinical and translational research will be important for this role, as will interest in developing a sports cardiology consultation service.
The position is a full-time appointment at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles main campus, with some outpatient responsibilities at regional affiliated ambulatory care centers (ACCs) likely.
The role will involve both inpatient service as a primary attending cardiologist as well as outpatient consultative cardiology, and exercise laboratory supervision responsibilities.
The successful candidate will have completed a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at an ACGME accredited training program, and be either American Board of Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology Board-certified or Board-eligible.
Additional fellowship training at an accredited cardiac transplant program is a requirement.
Demonstrated excellence in exercise assessment, implementing rehabilitation exercise prescriptions, and working in an interdisciplinary exercise and rehabilitation program are also required.
The successful candidate will join a Division of 34 cardiologists representing all major subspecialties, in an interdisciplinary setting, and providing care to a tertiary care population of patients, in an academic teaching hospital environment.
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is part of the Heart Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and is a center of excellence in all areas of pediatric cardiac care, undertaking over 800 surgical procedures per year and over 10,000 patient visits.

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904-$325,712.
