*General Summary*:
Responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of written content for healthcare education programming, in compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation guidelines.
Responsible for maintaining accreditation compliance with professional accrediting bodies, state licensing boards, and state and national laws and regulations.
Maintain knowledge and expertise in current accreditation standards and guidelines, state and national laws and regulations, and industry trends.
Strong understanding of academic writing standards and guidelines.
This role is responsible for oversight and coordination over internal processes and outside curriculum developing, respectively.
This role is expected to conduct job duties with poise, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
In addition, this role serves as the Accredited Provider Program Director (APPD) for the provider accreditation achieved through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Responsible for understanding ANCC accreditation requirements, ensuring the integrity of applicable educational activities for Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD), and ensuring consistent implementation of ANCC NCPD Accreditation Program criteria.
Responsible for ensuring that educational activities are compliant with the most current ANCC Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Accreditation Program criteria.
Responsible for communicating all ANCC criteria and guideline updates and changes to the provider unit; serves as a liaison between ANCC, Nurse Planner(s), Curriculum Development Review Committee (CDRC), and all other team members of the provider unit.

* Conduct research and analysis on new course topics, issues impacting healthcare professionals and patients, industry news/changes/trends, and state and national laws, regulations, and licensure requirements related to CareerSmart Learning (CSL) target audiences.
* Coordinate and participate in selecting content writers with relevant healthcare expertise.
* Ensure content writers possess and maintain the necessary credentials, in compliance with different state requirements and accreditation guidelines.
* Review, approve, and/or facilitate contracts related to content development and online education for business groups/customers.
* Coordinate projects with contractors and subject matter experts who write content for the healthcare programs and ensure they are meeting expectations and CSL guidelines.
* Maintain positive relationships with network of content writers and contractors by providing effective and routine communication, direction, guidance, and feedback throughout the content development process.
* Ensure content developed for the healthcare program meets state and accreditation requirements for approval, if applicable, and CSL standards of quality.
* Utilize technology, including project management systems, Artificial Intelligence (Ai) writing aids, or other tools to improve efficiencies in content development, as required.
* Coordinate with the Design Team on various content review phases (Alpha, Beta, Final) and ensure content integrity is maintained throughout development.
* Assist with determining appropriate professional audiences for developed CE content.
* Accountable for the overall operation of CSL’s ‘Accredited Provider Unit’ as the Accredited Provider Program Director (APPD).
* Oversee and guide the educational design process, including planning, developing, and evaluating each learning activity.
* Ensure that the Accredited Provider Unit operates according to NCPD Accreditation Program criteria.
* Remain current on requirements and changes in ANCC criteria; communicate and implement any program updates with the Accredited Provider Unit.
* Act as primary point of contact for all communications with ANCC to address questions or concerns.
* Ensure that Nurse Planner(s), curriculum developers, and members of the CDRC are oriented to ANCC standards and updated on any changes to ANCC requirements as they may occur.
* Monitor and evaluate the Nurse Planner(s)’ activities to ensure they are consistently operating according to ANCC criteria and standards and that there is thorough documentation of educational design processes and outcomes.
* Orientate and mentor new team members and Nurse Planner(s) to ANCC standards and criteria.
* Perform and lead the activities related to the development of the ANCC vendor renewal application to offer continuing education under ANCC standards and criteria, ensuring timely submission.
* Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and timely submission of reporting records as required by ANCC.
* Review and assess necessary resources of the provider unit, making proactive recommendations for program improvements to the Director of Content Development.
* Maintain expertise in state and national laws and regulations as they pertain to nurses and associated licenses and credentials.
* Monitor state nursing board changes, updates, and renewal requirements on an ongoing basis.
* Conduct bi-annual review of all state requirements for RN, LVN, LPN, and CNA license renewals and provide updated reports to the Accreditation Specialist & Advisor and Director of Content Development.
* Provide expert opinions and recommended topics for content development for the healthcare program.
* Develop original content/curriculum for online education for the healthcare program and target customer groups.
* Develop and present live original content/curriculum and PowerPoints for the healthcare program and target customer groups.
* Coordinate, track, complete, and actively participate in course annual evaluations and updates to ensure that content remains accurate and relevant according to accreditation criteria and guidelines and CSL standards of quality.
* Effectively participate in the Curriculum Development Review Committee (CDRC), and plan and lead meetings as necessary and at the request of the Director of Content Development.
* Effectively participate in educational program evaluation activities, including analysis of course evaluations, student feedback, and program statistics; planning and development of learner and target-audience surveys; and strategic planning for new course development and improvements.
* Assist in developing, submitting, and renewing applications to accrediting organizations for approval to offer continuing education under their standards.
* Act as a nurse educator expert and consultant in various capacities for learners, institutional customers, and prospective corporate account clients.
* Serve as the CSL program brand ambassador and expert in healthcare education at networking events, association meetings, marketing meetings with prospective customers, and related professional tradeshows and conferences.
* Conduct or participate in public speaking activities at conferences, association meetings, or other industry and CSL marketing and promotional events.
* Coordinate the development of and/or develop original, creative, and shareable written educational content for articles, emails, blog posts, and social media posts on healthcare for the CSL website, CSL social media platforms, and marketing efforts, in collaboration with the marketing team.
* Participate in creative planning sessions for digital and print advertising related to healthcare educational programming.
* Effectively participate in and contribute to marketing strategic planning related to the healthcare program.
* Effectively engage and participate in internal team meetings on a routine or as-needed basis.
* Contribute to development of internal policies and procedures and/or operating manuals.
* Make recommendations for efficiency improvements as it pertains to written content development and delivery.
* Collaborate with other colleagues within CSL or ISYS for special educational projects, as required.
* Perform other program development or improvement activities as directed by the Director of Content Development, Vice President, and President.
