We are seeking an elementary and middle school science and mathematics teacher to join our close-knit community at Brighton Hall.

This teacher will teach a variety of mathematics courses to a small group of students.
The teacher will also be expected to support students after school through tutoring and lead after-school enrichment activities and participate in periodic events after school such as the Spring Benefit Concert and field trips.

Brighton Hall is a small independent school with grades 2-12 in Burbank with a student to teacher ratio on average of 8 to 1.
Our school day is unique, as instructional hours are only 8:45-1:00.
Teachers are expected to work at the school from 8:15 to 3:00 Monday through Friday while school is in session.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate engaging and interactive lessons for small class sizes
* Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that inspire a love for learning and foster critical thinking skills.
* Communicate with students in an understandable, effective way about daily lessons and instructions
* Collaborate with the school’s administration in enforcing rules of behavior, class participation and conduct for students
* Create and assign learning projects, essays, tests, quizzes and homework for students, then grade their performance accurately on these assignments
* Provide tutoring to students in relevant subject areas as necessary
Qualifications
* 2-5 years of teaching experience in mathematics and/or completed teaching credential (preferred)
* Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject is required
* California State Teaching Credential is preferred
