The Assistant Teacher/Floater works as the assistant teacher in the full-day primary program.
The Assistant Teacher reports directly to the SITE SUPERVISOR.
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for the supervise of the children in the classroom and for implementing the activities planned by the Teachers.
The Assistant Teacher helps to create a positive learning environment guided by Because Children Matter - Noah's Place philosophies and curriculum.
The Assistant Teacher helps identify each child's development needs.
The Assistant Teacher communicates well with the other teachers in the classroom and ensures that the classroom environment facilitates a peaceful atmosphere for learning.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and events as planned by the teacher and guided by the BCM - Noah's Place Early Learning Centers primary philosophy.
o Interacts in a respectful and caring manner with the children by actively participating in their play and learning.
o Maintains a clean and safe environment for the children through general housekeeping.
o Assists in preparing snacks and lunches.
o Supervises the children in the classroom, playground, and during nap time.
o Ensures that all state and local requirements are met for the supervision of the children.
o Assumes primary teaching responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
o Relives other staff members for breaks and lunch when needed.
Communicates well and frequently with the Teacher.
Assists the Teacher in identifying each child's development strengths and challenges, allows the Teacher to be the primary contact for parent communication.
Assists the Teacher in the updating and maintaining the information in the center's files and communication with parents.
Assumes responsibility from the Teacher for the care of the environment, plus care and storage of the materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.
00 - $20.
00 per hour
