*Definition:* Student-Playground Supervisor/Campus Assistant, under general supervision, will oversee students and maintain order, well-being and safety on school playgrounds, lunch areas, and other areas designated by the school principal.
The Supervisor/Campus Assistant assists in maintaining standards of student discipline and ensuring the observance of rules and procedures by students and others on the campus and at bus loading points at the direction of a school administrator or teacher.
The Supervisor/Campus Assistant is responsible for knowing names of all students, for taking minor disciplinary action against students, when necessary, and for reporting names of students who have discipline issues to the campus director or his/her designee.
Supervisors/Campus Assistants may be responsible for administering first aid to students and for reporting all injuries and any unsafe conditions to the principal or his/her designee.
*Location:* *Los Angeles, CA 90027* *Schedule:* *Monday - Friday* *Reports to:*  Campus Manager *Duties include:*  Provides assistance to staff and visitors when necessary.
 Supervises, organizes, schedules, promotes, conducts, and participates in recreation activities for all age groups on the playground or where needed  Maintains order on the playground, checking to see that school regulations are being observed  Administers first aid in case of minor injury  Keeps records and makes reports  Supervises safe conduct of emergency drills and evacuations in event of real emergency  Acknowledges, models, and reinforces desirable student behavior  Assists in the drop off and pick up process to include guiding traffic  Performs light administrative work such as filing, attendance tracking, making photocopies, or database input linked to school life  Patrols school corridors, locker rooms, restrooms, assembly and athletic facilities, bus-loading areas, and other campus locations in order to observe student behavior and prevent rule violations or unsafe activities  Works with IT team to solve any campus related IT issues and performs minor IT work  May direct students and others and take action, as necessary, to prevent injury to persons or damage to property  May work with groups authorized to be on the campus before and after school and keep the campus free of unauthorized persons  May assist teachers, parent volunteers, or administrators in supervising students during field trips, assemblies, and special events  May assist in counseling individual students or groups of students or in assisting student clubs  May deliver, set up, lay out, or collect equipment and other materials  Performs other duties as may be assigned *Qualifications Guide* *Knowledge of:*  Basic knowledge of student games and their rules  Basic first aid and health assessments *Ability to:*  Demonstrate dependability and reliability  Learn and apply school rules pertaining to student behavior  Learn and apply safety rules and procedures to be observed by students  Use good judgment in interacting with students, staff and parents  Positively influence children’s behavior and standards of conduct  Be firm, fair and consistent in dealing with student behavioral concerns  Be a positive role model for students  Work cooperatively with other playground supervisors, faculty, staff, parents and administration  Be team-oriented and have good interpersonal skills  React quickly and appropriately in emergencies  Operate two-way radio equipment (walkie-talkie)  Establish good relations and communicate orally with staff, parents, and students  Be neat in appearance and appropriate in verbal and non-verbal interactions Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.
