ESL Tutor Part Time Valley Village

Job Description for On-Site ESL Tutoring Position at a Private All-Girls High School in Valley Village: Current teaching hours are scheduled for 11:00 AM to 12:25 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our private all-girls high school located in Valley Village.
Additionally, there is a study hall time slot on Fridays, specifically reserved for 11th-grade girls, from 10:50 AM to 11:22 AM.
Consequently, the total teaching commitment is approximately 4 hours per week, allowing for preparation time and potential inclusion of the Friday slot.
Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver engaging English as a Second Language (ESL) lessons to a small group of students on-site at our private all-girls high school.
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with ESL curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback in the context of ESL learning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to ESL students.
- Promote literacy education and foster a love for reading and writing among ESL learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance teaching strategies to best meet the unique needs of ESL students.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching English as a Second Language at the secondary or higher education level.
- Strong knowledge of the English language, literature, and grammar.
