Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, and vehicles with manual transmission
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations
- Load and unload cargo using forklift or other appropriate equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate with dispatch to receive instructions and updates on routes and schedules
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts or other machinery, as required
- Familiarity with route driving and ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo, including lifting heavy objects
- Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatch, customers, and other drivers on the road
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with flatbed or freight hauling
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations and temperature control systems
- Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles
- Experience in tanker truck operations
