*Position Summary:*
As a caregiver with Salus Homecare, you will provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes.
These services will include companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and assistance with grooming, and bathing.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities.
* Develop and maintain effective communication and a positive relationship with clients, their families, and the Salus Homecare team.
* Assist with meal preparation and provide dietary monitoring.
* Offer medication reminders.
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and laundry.
* Assist clients with personal care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Accompany clients to appointments or outings, providing transportation as needed.
* Monitor and report changes in client's health, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor.
*Qualifications:*
* Home Care Aide (HCA) registration number
* At least 1 year of caregiver experience
* Compassionate and caring demeanor.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus.
