Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Dispatcher with prior experience in airline cargo.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the movement of cargo to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cargo transportation, communicating with drivers, customers, and management, and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all dispatch activities.
Responsibilities:
• Dispatching a fleet of drivers with import, export, and local FLT and LTL deliveries and local deliveries to multiple
clients.
• Supervising driver activities by utilizing phone communication, dispatch system, and GPS tracking.
• Updating customers with shipment status via email, text, phone call and system updates.
• Provide solutions for clients when service is requested.
• Verifying Billing information when necessary.
• Coordinating & Tracking equipment on a daily basis.
• Reporting any mechanical maintenance required for equipment & amp; arrange maintenance.
• Ensure drivers comply with the hours of service set by US DOT.
Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work with others to ensure efficient service for our clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Multitask multiple shipments at a time.
• Bilingual- English/Spanish
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Education:
High School Diploma / GED
Experience:
5 years of experience- air cargo preferably
Rate:
$25 to $27 an hours
