I am a 22-year-old ambulatory wheelchair user with chronic illness, and I am looking to hire someone to be a caregiver and companion.
Some tasks I need help with include meal preparation, doing laundry, light cleaning, picking up prescriptions, and driving me around to go to the park, doctor appointments, or other outings.
I spend most of my time at home due to my illness, and it would be nice to have someone around to talk with and keep me company even when there are not specific tasks to do.
For instance, sometimes what could be most helpful is watching a movie, playing a game, or going for a walk.
I am looking for a caregiver with the following qualifications:
- Willing to wear a N95 face mask when working (I have a compromised immune system)
- Has a car and is willing to drive to outings, appointments, etc.
- LGBTQ+ friendly
- Can provide references from past employers
Schedule is flexible, but looking for around 2-3 days per week (weekdays) and 2-4 hours per day.
$25/hour.
Location is near the UCLA campus.
Please email to introduce yourself and include your interests or hobbies, any relevant experience, and work history.
Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you.
