🔎What is the study goal?
We are researching the molecular mechanisms driving IBD flares and need your help! Only you understand the ups and downs of your disease, which is why we’re putting the tools of sample collection in your hands.
🫵In our study, we empower you to collect your own sample at home whenever the next unpredictable flare may strike.
🙋♀️Who can participate?
If you are at least 18 years of age and have been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis, indeterminate colitis, or Crohn’s disease, we want you to register for this research study.
😣The more often you experience IBD flare-ups, the more likely you are to be a good fit for this study! Symptoms of IBD flare-ups include chronic inflammation, bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, fatigue, weight loss, anemia, fever, and loss of appetite.

What will I need to do?
Qualified individuals will provide specimens from the comfort of their own home.
You’ll collect 3 baseline samples over 3 months.
If you flare, you’ll take up to 3 additional samples, each 1 week apart.
You may participate in the study for a total of 3-4 months, or until the study concludes.
All samples are sent back via mail, and we will cover the postage and any costs to pick up from your home!
