Disney, a global leader in entertainment, is seeking a talented and dedicated Software Engineer II to join our Payment team.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that manages the payment transactions of millions of customers across our celebrated platforms - Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, and the upcoming Star.
In this role, you'll:
Support Crucial Payment Systems: Play a supportive role in our multi-tenant system that processes payments, ensuring it remains highly available, scalable, and resilient.

Basic Qualifications:
A BS in Computer Science/Engineering
3+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency in Java, or similar programming languages.
Demonstrated analytical and strong system design skills.
Experience with APIs and developing Libraries.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, Spinnaker, and Kubernetes, is beneficial.
A proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A commitment to continuous learning, mentorship, and striving for excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in functional programming
Experience working with distributed teams
The hiring range for this position in New York is $118,000 to $158,200 per year and in California is $112,600 to $151,000 per year.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
