Working with the UCLA Asian American Studies Center Education & Information Technology team, the Front-End Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating moderately complex front-end graphics, style, navigation, information architecture, and layout solutions for the existing website, WordPress Content Management System (CMS), web services, and web applications.
The Front-End Developer will collaborate with Center members, librarians, archivists, stakeholders, partners, and experts to conduct thorough analysis, requirement research, design specifications and information architecture, and detail complex solutions.
The incumbent must ensure reliable and secure industry application code is delivered in all solutions.
Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordinating with campus partners to ensure all campus protocols, usability and accessibility, security protocols, industry standards, and practices are properly adopted.

Bachelor's degree in IS, CIS, CS or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Experience (typically three years min.
) with PHP/MySQL WordPress, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SASS, NodeJS, AJAX, APIs, frameworks, SEO, and web animations within the WordPress Content Management System (CMS) framework.

Working knowledge of a major JS Framework (e.
