* Key Responsibilities:
* 1.
Act as a design figure on team by designing the layout of storm drain and water quality system in * coordination with the grading, street improvements and underground facilities consistent with FEI * design standards, agency processing requirements and client expectations.
* 2.
Prepare documentation and all hydrology & hydraulic reports and water quality reports for agency * review and approval.
* 3.
Conduct due diligence for civil related issues including drainage, sewer, water and water quality * on behalf of private and public entities to assist project manager.
* 4.
Conduct water and sewer capacity assessments using appropriate hydraulic software and * summarize into a report for CEQA and permit approvals.
* 5.
Ensure quality of design and implement new ideas through supervision, delegation, participation * in plan review and training of junior staff.
* 6.
Assist the team leader in client/agency interaction.
Endeavor to build lasting relationships and * respect with coworkers and clients.
Attend meetings and conference calls as appropriate.
* 7.
Provide QA/QC and technical support for WQMP Plan Check Process within the Stormwater * Team.

* Train and coach junior team members, contributing to team's professional growth.
* Prepare cost estimates, develop schedules and coordinate the hydrology and hydraulic work of * the design team with the team Manager.
* Perform hydrology, hydraulics, hydromodification and water quality calculations.
* Assure all work/designs are of high quality, cost effective and meets the agency standards.
* Supervise Interns and/or Associate Engineers by rendering assistance in order to maintain project * schedule and quality.
Coordinate staffing needs with team Manager.
* Initiate, implement and promote new ideas and procedures.

* Provide construction support and develop responses to RFI’s.
* Provide subordinate team members with complete information and criteria for completion of work.
* Determine plan or report format and complete the necessary documentation for the design * package.

* Education, Experience & Knowledge Any combination of a bachelor’s degree (B.

) in Civil * Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and civil engineering design * experience totaling three years; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum two * years independently solving complex engineering problems within land development.
EIT certification * is required, PE preferred.
Well-developed problem solving, decision-making, communication and * team building skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
