Learn More About What We Do What's interesting about this role? In this role, the Software Engineer will help implement top of the line front-end and back-end user experiences for our highly customized site with thousands of financial content reaching over 10 million monthly unique users.
You will apply your WordPress installations and programming experience, utilizing technology like PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CS with exposure to React JS.
How Will You Make an Impact? Development Build, extend, maintain, and deploy features using PHP, JavaScript, CSS, ReactJS.
Monitor, maintain and optimize front end and back-end performance.
Produce high-quality code that works well across multiple browsers and devices.
Team Collaboration Interact with the team to share and discuss design and functionality ideas.
Interpret wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
Discuss project milestones and key deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
Set design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
Meet deadlines and stay on target.
Work with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
What Do You Bring to Us? 5+ years of web development experience, with a focus on WordPress programming.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related studies is a plus.
Technical skills should include multiple years in web development and experience with: React, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
Experience using Git for version control is a must.
Familiarity with Command-Line Interfaces (i.
e.
Bash).
Familiarity with SEO best practices (semantic markup, alt tags,meta tags).
Ability to work with APIs.
Experience with AWS services such as S3 and CloudFront is a plus.
Experience with common deployment methodologies (dev->stage->live) Debugging experience.
Some knowledge of production-ready code QA such as browser testing, validity testing, and performance testing.
Able to take direction and feedback on your ideas.
Collaborative and will-do attitude The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000.
Pay offered may vary within the posted range based on a number of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
