Position Summary
PMA develops innovative and state-of-the-art tools in the domain of project management.
We are seeking a skilled and innovative candidate who will contribute to the development and enhancement of our software products.
In your role as a software engineer, you will be expected to architect, implement, test, support, debug, and maintain commercial product features.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and a cross-functional team to deliver on technical and business requirements.
You will be a champion of overall product quality, performance, and success, with an opportunity to grow into a senior developer role.
Our Products We have been developing desktop applications for over 15 years, including four tools that are used by our consulting division and are available commercially.
Our customers belong to several Fortune 100 and top 10 ENR firms.
Lately, we’ve been building a new platform from the ground up and will be launching it soon.
Our Team We view software as a craft.
We are a 9-person, non-collocated Scrum team in a mid-sized consulting firm.
Our team follows Agile values to incorporate best practices in design, development, testing, and CI/CD processes.
We are self-organizing, we choose what and how to build, and we frequently interact with our users to address main business-use cases and outcomes.

Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, math, or related field required; graduate degree preferred.
3+ years’ experience writing code on professional software development teams for commercial, interactive/GUI-based Windows applications required.
Proficiency in C++ and C# application development and object-oriented programming required.
Demonstrated deep knowledge of databases, data structures, and algorithms required.
Demonstrated proficiency with version control and automated testing required.
Experience with WPF and MFC desirable.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and with Jira preferred.
Experience with client/server, API, and web development preferred.
Knowledge of project planning/scheduling processes/tools (e.
g.
the Critical Path Method, Microsoft Project), or project management or the construction industry is desirable.
Must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and be motivated to learn.
Additional Requirements Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
