Summary of Position
Nexon America is looking for a UX Research Intern to join our Western Development team for the 2024 summer internship program.
This internship will provide valuable experience to learn how user research with a Western philosophy will impact our game business.
You will be able to work closely with our Western Development members to understand design and gameplay goals, create research goals and designs to carry out projects that yield actionable insights for a live service game.
During this process, you will learn how to work within an interdisciplinary team and how individual user experiences shape a game’s development.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
Relocation/housing will not be provided for the internship.
The target start date for the internship program is 6/10 (40 hour/week) and the duration of the internship will vary between 8-12 weeks depending on the role.

Job Responsibilities
Acquiring qualitative/quantitative information on our users
Preparing and conducting user surveys
Collecting and compiling data
Translating and interpreting data
Summarizing results and presenting recommendations based on the findings, and other documentation
Work closely with our UX Researcher(s) to translate findings into actionable insights
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Human Development, Social Studies, or other related behavioral science fields
Knowledge/Skills
Ability to identify and analyze user needs and behaviors
Ability to empathize with users
Knowledge of statistical analysis
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong interest in online gaming

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (hourly)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $18.
