The Apple Media Tech (AMT) group is at the center of audio, video, and graphics in Apple’s innovative products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV and Vision Pro.
AMT’s Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime, Audio for Games, media capture, playback and API’s for third party developers to enrich our platforms.
The team is looking for talented engineers who are passionate about championing the performance and user experience of audio feature and products used by millions of customers.

Description
The Audio Hardware Abstraction Layer is the advanced software engine that conducts all audio I/O in Apple's operating systems.
As a member of the Audio HAL team, you will be architecting and developing software, technical lead on projects, resolving issues and providing developer-facing APIs for both applications and drivers.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about improving the quality of the audio experience for our customers and developers and the development experience for the team and collaborators.
The ideal candidate has in-depth experience in systems-level programming and writing multi-threaded C++ code.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
