We are seeking a Data Engineering Analyst to join our team supporting our global media client.
You will be responsible for creating pipelines that enable visualizations, dashboards, and metrics to provide business insights for key decision makers.
If you're a hands-on analyst able to code using Python and SQL you'll definitely have the right skill set.
Your job will require the daily use of code to enable data pipelines we've built to deliver accurate and insightful information to our team.
Some days may require you to write queries using SQL, or script with DAX, R or Python.
Some days you may be working on a Proof of Concept using cloud data or new AI tools.
We are always looking to improve our capabilities, and our goal is to perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analysis with innovative solutions that meet our client's requirements.
You will also be required to translate business requirements into technical solutions that meet those needs.
If you're comfortable defining requirements with stakeholders, have recently graduated with a Computer Science or related degree, and have at least one year of experience (including coding interships) we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Creating pipelines that will be used to facilitate accurate visualization and dashboard performance
Developing dashboards, visualizations and reports using Power BI to improve business process
Curating data sets using SQL that drive data collection models to better consolidate information
Builds data models that help improve efficiency throughout the BI catalog
Experience providing visualizations with MS SQL Server and other cloud-based data sources.
Performing quality assurance testing to ensure the data presented is correct
Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving efficiency and profitability
Collaborating with team members at all levels for the purpose of collecting data, documenting requirements, and executing on deliverables
Analyzing business requirements and processes to provide recommendations for improvement
Creating and maintaining documentation that includes design, requirements, and user manuals
Learning and understanding the data landscape across multiple databases and applications
Coordinate with IT Department to implement new models
Create presentations to present analysis findings
SQL object development, performance tuning, data analysis and integration
Applies data visualization best practices
Requirements
One year of experience professional coding or intership experience with Python, SQL, or similar scripting language focused on data
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with visualizing data (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
)
Experience building data pipelines that support reporting and decision making for the business
Excellent communications verbal and written with English
Able to work onsite 3 days / week in the greater Los Angeles area (Burbank adjacent)
The US base range for this contract position is $30-35 per hour.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
