The Event Coordinator works directly with the Marketing Director to organize, plan, produce, communicate and solicit museum events.
The Event Coordinator will need to have excellent project management skills and familiarity with databases systems, spreadsheets, and web applications.
The ability to build positive working relationships cross-departmentally is required.
This position will maintain the Project Management System leads, budgets and calendaring in collaboration with the group services and marketing teams.
*Duties/Responsibilities:* * Provide 360 event management from ideation to real time development of all museum “owned” events and activations both at the museum and nationally such as exhibit openings, rallies, fundraisers, cruise-ins.
* Oversee creation of event creative briefs, website landing pages and other forms of project initiation to ensure the marketing and design team have essential information and sufficient time to produce assets as needed.

* Set up detailed project documentation, roles and responsibilities, timelines and budgets that clearly defines goals and expectations.
* Communicate key dates, action items, and updates effectively across internal teams and stakeholders to ensure maximum event exposure.
* Provide excellent client service to external museum partners.
* Liaise with vendors for rentals, FNB, signage, and other event related purchases.
* Create post event surveys and follow-up with event attendees to build reports and solicit feedback.
* Expectation to participate at some of the events at the Museum, which will likely occur during the evenings or weekends.
*Required Skills/Abilities:* * Attention to detail * Coordinating large scale events from beginning to end, including event space curtation and set up * Experience with automotive events is a plus * Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral * Excellent prioritization and time management skills * Strong client-first work ethic * Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google suite, and relevant social media platforms *Education and Experience:* Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: * Bachelor’s Degree Minimum Experience required: * 3 years of experience coordinating events (automotive events a plus) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $32.
