The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow.
This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise.
*Responsibilities:*
* Review and process high-volume outside contractor labor invoices, finished goods, fabric, trim, and some overhead invoices.
Sort, code, match, and enter invoices into Microsoft Dynamics SL accounting system for all vendor types.
* Outside contractor invoices require thorough matching to PO’s and possible chargebacks to vendors.
Outside contractor invoices have a one week turnaround from receipt to check printing.
Finished good/import invoices require schedules completed for advance wire payments.
Raw material/fabric and trim invoices also require investigation and matching.
* Check requests, and wire transfers for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
* Prepare and perform multiple weekly check runs and wire transfer requests
* 1099 maintenance
* Help research and resolve invoice discrepancies
* Organize and maintain vendor files
* Communicate and correspond with domestics and international vendors and respond to inquiries
* Assist Controller and CFO with supporting documentation for financial audits
*Education and Experience:*
* Some coursework in accounting preferred
* 5+ years accounts payable experience in the apparel industry
* Experience with Solomon / Microsoft Dynamics SL, and Blue Cherry a plus.
* Knowledge of general accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
* Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch.
* Proficient in heavy data entry.
