Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems software team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Associate Engineer Software in the field of cyber security to work on projects that ensure the safety and security of our advanced systems.
The ideal candidate will have software development experience in C++ and other languages.
They will implement software exploits to assist in testing the detection and remediation of software vulnerabilities.
They should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on meeting program milestones in a dynamic environment.
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Software (T01) or Engineer Software (T02).
Basic Qualifications for a Associate Engineer Software (T01) A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria.
The candidate must: Has completed or be completing Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited University/College Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security clearance (U.

C++ Preferred Qualifications for both an Associate Engineer Software and Engineer Software Ability to understand and integrate HOL (High Order Language), System-theoretic and Technical Operational Risk Management (STORM), System-Theoretic Process Analysis for Security (STPA-SEC) and Cybersecurity By Design (CSBD) frameworks into mission relevant programs.
Experience using cyber tools like Ghidra, Wireshark, and Nmap.
Familiarity with collaborative / cooperative autonomous operations, such as the efforts underway by Syracuse University MAE.
Pay Range Associate Engineer Software: 57,400 – 105,400 Engineer Software: 69,500 – 127,400 Salary Range: $57,400 - $105,400 Salary Range 2: $69,500 - $127,400 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
