ROLE SUMMARY: As Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the restaurant’s day-to-day operations, customer service, and staff performance during your assigned shift.
You will work with the Regional Store Manager on menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring ordering, and tracking and stocking inventory.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Shift Manager and a willingness to learn.
Open availability is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee daily operations of service associates ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to drive sales, increase guest satisfaction, and employee morale.
Hire, train, and manage a team of service associates to foster a productive, positive, and supportive work environment.
Monitor and maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with company standards, and state and federal health board regulations.
Alongside the Shift Supervisor and Regional Store Manager, manage inventory, order supplies, and control labor and food costs to maximize profitability.
Assist staff in resolving on-the-job challenges.
Ensure the responsible handling of all financial processes are followed by all team members.
Balance the cash register at the end of shift.
Ensure guest satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints.
Report any maintenance and training needs to appropriate parties.
Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality, restaurant, and health standards.
Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health code and OSHA requirements are met.
Ensure food and service meets quality and timeliness standards.
Oversee cleaning and maintenance of equipment and workstations.
Ensure all company standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines are consistently upheld and enforced by all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by Regional Store Manager.
REQUIREMENTS: Must work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Minimum 1-2 years of previous experience in a supervisory role.
Must be 18+ years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have valid CA Manager Food Handler’s certification and Responsible Beverage Service Training.
Must be available to work different shifts, including weekends.
Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs.
Must be able to work in hot/cold, and/or wet areas.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must have a strong understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
