CAMP CUSTODIAN

The City of Commerce Camp Program is located at Lake Arrowhead, CA.
Under general supervision, provides semiskilled general labor duties in support of Camp Commerce facilities and grounds including cleaning and maintaining Camp Commerce cabins and buildings and performing minor facility and custodial equipment maintenance duties.
The incumbent may be assigned temporarily to any City of Commerce facility as needed.

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties Performs custodial, janitorial, and minor facility maintenance duties in such a manner that high levels of cleanliness are maintained; follows all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk of accidents and enhance the safety of employees and visitors.
Performs routine cleaning, restroom sanitation, floor care, and trash disposal in Camp Commerce.
Cleans residential cabins and changes linens.
Inspects and maintains assigned custodial equipment and small tools for proper operating condition; completes minor repairs on cleaning equipment as needed.
Operates vehicles and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; identifies and reports mechanical problems requiring additional repair.
Performs minor semi-skilled and unskilled interior building maintenance and repairs.
Opens, closes, locks and unlocks facilities as needed; sets up and takes down meeting rooms; assists with setup and teardown and other tasks; shovels snow and sweeps debris as needed for special events as directed.
Completes daily work log, incident and accident reports, and requisitions for supplies and materials.
Responds as directed to perform emergency cleaning work as required.
Ensures that hazardous materials are cleaned up in a timely manner and controlled according to City policy and procedures.
Performs related duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSRequired Licenses or Certifications: ?Must be able to acquire a valid California driver's license within six (6) months of hire and maintain a safe driving record.
