and nationwide manufacturer & distributor of Hispanic Consumer Products is seeking a full-time Forklift Operator for the plant located in Mojave, CA.
This person will report to the Warehouse Team Manager II.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the general direction of the Warehouse Manager , the Forklift Operator will have shared responsibility depending on business needs.
As Forklift Operator, candidate will move, stack, and unload material, parts or products using an electric forklift and/or reach forklift within or between departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for moving raw /finished good materials in the warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Lead/Coordinators.
Performs system transactions to return unused raw material into ERP system.
Inspects forklift and reports any malfunctions using the daily operator checklist.
Maintains product stored in racks, assuring proper wrapping and stacking in the Warehouse, Distribution center, RM warehouse, or other warehouse/storage areas.
Loads and unloads trucks both manually and using forklift.
Unload product from trailers, sorting, inspecting, and re-palletizing product.
Checks product for damaged merchandise.
Loads and unloads contaminated product for fumigation in special trucks.
Performs general duties including sanitation and battery changing.
Assuring proper wrapping and stacking and palletize to specification back into raw material warehouse.
Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Safety requirements.
Checks/inspects raw material for start-up production lines.
Assure no damaged raw material is used and informs Leads/Coordinators of concerns.
Transfers product contained in sacks to proper drum containers.
Train as back up for Utility Worker.
Must meet daily cleaning requirements of the department to prevent infestation.
Pick orders for production REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts in a Warehouse/DC or manufacturing environment, preferably food environment.
Basic math skills Good communication skills Must be able to lift sacks of up to 50 pounds.
Basic computer literacy, basic Microsoft and/or inventory ERP systems.
Ability to operate pallet jack, manual or electric while following all safety rules/guidelines .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Forklift and reach certified.
Inventory experience preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL DEL PUESTO: Bajo la dirección general del Gerente de Almacén, el Operador de Montacargas tendrá responsabilidad compartida dependiendo de las necesidades del negocio.
Como operador de montacargas, el candidato moverá, apilará y descargará materiales, piezas o productos utilizando un montacargas eléctrico y/o un montacargas retráctil dentro o entre departamentos.
RESPONSABILIDADES: Responsable de mover materias primas/productos terminados en el almacén según lo indique el líder/coordinador de almacén.
Realiza transacciones del sistema para devolver la materia prima no utilizada al sistema ERP.
Inspecciona el montacargas e informa cualquier mal funcionamiento utilizando la lista de verificación diaria del operador.
Mantiene el producto almacenado en estantes, asegurando el envoltorio y apilamiento adecuados en el almacén, centro de distribución, almacén de RM u otras áreas de almacén/almacenamiento.
Carga y descarga de camiones tanto manualmente como mediante montacargas.
Descargue el producto de los remolques, clasifique, inspeccione y vuelva a paletizar el producto.
Revisa el producto en busca de mercancía dañada.
Carga y descarga de producto contaminado para fumigación en camiones especiales.
Realiza tareas generales, incluido el saneamiento y el cambio de batería.
Garantizar el envoltorio y apilamiento adecuados y paletizar según las especificaciones de vuelta al almacén de materias primas.
Cumplir con las Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura (GMP) y los requisitos de Seguridad.
Verifica/inspecciona la materia prima para las líneas de producción de puesta en marcha.
Asegúrese de que no se utilice materia prima dañada e informe a los líderes/coordinadores de las inquietudes.
Transfiere producto contenido en sacos a bidones adecuados.
Entrena como respaldo para Utility Worker.
Debe cumplir con los requisitos de limpieza diaria del departamento para evitar la infestación.
Recoger pedidos para producción CALIFICACIONES REQUERIDAS: 1 año de experiencia con montacargas de pie y sentado en un almacén/centro de distribución o entorno de fabricación, preferiblemente entorno alimentario.
Habilidades matemáticas básicas Buena capacidad de comunicación Debe poder levantar sacos de hasta 50 libras.
Alfabetización informática básica, Microsoft básico y/o sistemas ERP de inventario.
Capacidad para operar transpaletas, manuales o eléctricas, siguiendo todas las reglas/directrices de seguridad CALIFICACIONES PREFERIDAS: Montacargas y alcance certificado.
Se prefiere experiencia en inventario.
Preferentemente bilingüe (español).
