Key Areas of Responsibilities General Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make the necessary, real-time decisions to ensure the delivery of an excellent dining experience for our guests and the overall successful operation of the restaurant.

Personnel Produce and develop a work environment that focuses on staff members’ safety in both their tasks and overall wellbeing.
Manage and develop all staff members to ensure executional and procedural standards are met.
Retain the most valuable component of our organization, your team.
Interview hourly staff members.
Oversee and participate in the direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of staff members.
Conduct new hire orientations, including an explanation of the company culture and core values, and oversee the training of new staff members.
Develop and mentor staff members by providing ongoing and daily feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting regular performance reviews.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs.
Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
Guest service Ensure positive guest service in all areas.
Assess and respond to complaints and suggestions, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Food safety and planning Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
Ensure staff members consistently produce a high quality of food preparation and service.
Maintain a professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper attire, and appearance standards.
Estimate and budget food and beverage costs.
Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
Works closely with Kitchen Supervisor team to oversee and ensure the team are adhering to company standards.
Estimate food needs, ensure orders are placed accurately with vendors, and ensure the deliveries of fresh food and supplies are on schedule.
Financial Ensure staff members adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
Ensure that all financial (e.
g.
, invoices, budgets, forecasts, reports, etc.
) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
With the support of the Area Director, work with management team to meet and/or exceed the targeted financial and metrical goals.
Qualifications High School Diploma required.
3+ years GM experience required in a fast-paced, high volume quick service restaurant.
California Food Safety Manager Certified required.
Speak, read, and write English fluently.
Proficient in the following restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, and restaurant safety.
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register and POS system.
High level Leadership: Knows how to give and receive highly effective feedback.

Physical Requirements Perform duties that require standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, twisting, climbing, lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.
individually), and moving throughout the restaurant for 8-12 hours per shift, up to 6 shifts per week, with occasional sitting, 1-4hrs/day.
Work Conditions / Hours Weekly Schedule Expectations: Work hours: Minimum 47.
50 hours/week which includes meal breaks.
2 Opening Shifts: Starting at 7:00am.
2 Mid Shifts: 10:00am 7:30pm.
1 Closing Shift: 11:30am 9:00pm.
Every other week One Saturday/Sunday: 10:30am 8:00pm.
Hours will vary in accordance with business necessity, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, steam, and smoke.
Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment typical of a restaurant kitchen as well as work with phones, computers, and other office equipment.
There is no off-the-clock work.
There may be occasions when a GM receives off-schedule call/text/email that will require them to respond in a timely manner.
It is required that all such work be reported to Human Resources (HR) and should include the date, time and reason for the off-schedule work.
Below are examples of such occasions: Night Alarm calls from Maximum security.
Any AD reach out needed for questions that must be answered ASAP by GM Multiple call outs and after already exhausted all resources.
