*Job description* Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo's commissary kitchen is looking for a motivated porter.
Hiring immediately for full and part time shifts.
*Job Specific* * Sorts/washes/stores all china, glassware, silverware, service wares, pots, pans, utensils * Maintains control over beverage, china, glass, silver, cookware and service equipment inventories * Assists in food service set up of serving areas prior to function * Performs breakdown of all food service materials and equipment after functions * Attends required department meetings to keep abreast of in-house activities/promotions and events * Arrive and leave on time, and clock in/out accordingly * Follow break policies in effect at this location.
* Complete assigned deliveries and pick-ups and receiving of products.
* Pack products in trucks neatly, and secured for transport.
* Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe, and courteous manner.
* Helps put away and organize deliveries.
* Good communication with the chefs on daily needs * Picks up and delivers products, collects invoices.
* Ensures vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
* Performs vehicle inspections and reports issues to management * Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times * Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance * Is polite, friendly, and helpful to management and fellow employees * Executes emergency procedures in accordance with standards * Complies with required safety regulations and procedures * Attends appropriate training sessions * Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area * Complies with standards, policies and rules * Other duties as assigned _*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*_ Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, stretch and fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally.
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs.

*Position Qualifications:* * A passion for the hospitality and service industry and at least one year of prior experience, preferably in a similar environment * Enthusiasm and a service-first mindset; a 5-star attitude; able to treat clients, co-workers and vendors with respect and consideration regardless of the situation, their status or positio * A professional, organized, detail-oriented and reliable team player, able to work well with others with a strong work ethic and the ability to work rapidly and quietly during rush periods * Exceptional grooming habits, reliably presenting in clean professional attire * Punctual and reliable; able to work long hours on short notice including weekends, evenings and holidays * Able to juggle multiple competing priorities, prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and react well under pressure * Strong organizational skills * Proactive, independent work habits and detailed follow-through * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and confidentiality * Flexible work schedule including evening and weekends * Basic computer skills including Word & Excel * Must possess a general food & beverage knowledge and the desire to learn * Be able to meet deadlines, multi-task, work in a fast-paced, and time-pressured environment with multiple interruptions.
Have the ability to stay calm and rational while communicating with different personalities, and communicate efficiently and effectively over the phone and in writing.
Be able to ask questions whenever needed.
Working Conditions and Expectations: * Work schedule may require weekends and holidays, early morning, and late evenings.
* Always act in a professional manner that represents the restaurant, owners, partners, and staff.
