Dishwasher
The Dishwasher is one of the most crucial positions in a restaurant.
Without reliable Dishwashers, restaurants cannot function.
The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
They also ensure that the dish-room and equipment are clean and organized.
The Dishwasher maintains cleanliness of kitchen area, back loading dock and designated areas of the front of the house.
The Dishwasher must know and follow all sanitation guidelines.
Daily Responsibilities:
Load, run and unload dish machine
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware according to health codes
Follow sanitation guidelines set forth by Health Department
Follow weekly cleaning schedule in order to maintain the standards of the restaurant
Keep dish room clean and organized
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designated times
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
Clean food preparation and production areas as required
Clean all restroom facilities before restaurant is open to the public
Stocking of food, beverages and supplies as directed by the Chef
Proper handling of food deliveries.
All products put away in a timely manner
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Chef or immediate supervisor
Skills / Experience:
Experience preferred but not necessary
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule on occasion, days, nights, weekends, holidays
Quick learner; anticipates needs and is a self-starter
Attention to Detail; thoroughness in accomplishing tasks ensuring the job gets done right
Flexible; ability to change course quickly based on the company's changing needs
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Food Handler Certification Required
Full Vaccination against COVID-19
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs.
on a regular basis.
Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
