Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Summer Camp Assistant to join our vibrant summer camp team.
This part-time position is ideal for a student who is organized, enjoys working with younger peers, and has a passion for education and leadership.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating our summer camp activities, including educational tutoring, campus tours, and ensuring the overall safety and smooth operation of the camp.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in leading and coordinating daily activities, including taking notes and capturing memorable moments through photographs.
* Provide tutoring and support to students in business academic subjects.
* Address inquiries and provide assistance with after-class assignments to enhance students' learning experiences.
* Act as a team leader to coordinate logistics such as campus visits, transportation, and guiding tours.
* Lead student groups on campus visits to other universities, ensuring informative and engaging tours.
* Maintain responsibility for the group’s safety during all activities and transit.
* Collaborate effectively with camp staff and external contacts (e.
g.
, bus drivers, tour guides) to facilitate program objectives.
* Work with the Program Manager to ensure program success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current enrollment in a university program.
* Strong leadership capabilities and excellent organizational skills.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.
* Experience in tutoring or teaching is highly advantageous.
* High level of responsibility and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
* Lead and participate in recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, and games
* Supervise campers during meals, field trips, and other camp-related activities
* Provide guidance and support to campers to promote positive behavior and teamwork
* Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate programs and events
* Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience in a camp counselor or similar role.
* First Aid and CPR certification.
* Bilingual is a plus
