*Job Description* Ridiculously fun and dynamic Summer Camp program looking for coaches to join our team! We are a lively, energetic, enthusiastic bunch who love what we do!! Our program is unique in that we allow the children to choose what activities they want to participate in, based on what their interests are, which means every day is different!
We offer everything from all sports and games (including our very own patented ones!), arts and crafts, drama, and robotics, to science, themed weeks, talent shows, and much more!
If you love working with kids, are a team player, available to work *starting June 12th through August 9th, *and are energetic and able to keep a fun yet safe environment, we want you on our team!
*We’re Seeking Someone Who:*
* Has the ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff.
* Has the ability to observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.
* Has the ability to observe staff behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate management techniques.
* Has a visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
* Has a physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid.
Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
Some physical requirements of this position could be endurance, including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, and stretching; requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate outdoor equipment and camp activities; requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; willing to work in an outdoor camp setting with daily exposure to the sun, heat.
