This is an on call nanny position for someone who currently holds employment and is looking for extra income during the work week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a safe and loving environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Prepare meals and snacks for children, ensuring they are nutritious and meet any dietary restrictions
- Assist with homework and educational activities
- Maintain a clean and organized play area
- Follow parents' instructions regarding routines, discipline, and any specific care needs
- Ensure the safety of children at all times, including during outings or transportation
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving, babysitting, daycare, or childcare roles
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, or multiple children at once
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and ability to handle minor injuries or emergencies
- Familiarity with age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents
- Patience and understanding to handle challenging behavior or situations calmly
- Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, activities, and meal preparation
