If you are interested in becoming a teacher or have a passion for teaching and working with children, working in an after-school setting is a great place to start! We are not the typical after school program.
This job is perfect for anyone who attends school in the mornings and enjoys having their evenings and weekends free! We are a private, well established TK-8th grade, after school enrichment program.
Our program introduces children to great artists, a life long appreciation towards music and great composers, the discovery of science, and exposure and understanding of various cultures.
Our goal is to inspire students by presenting programs that encourage creativity, investigation and discovery.
We have an available position for *After School Program* *Supervisor* in the *Highland Park/Eagle Rock area*.
We are seeking individuals for the 2023-2024 school year.
The position starts November 2023 and requires a commitment for the remainder of the school year, November 2023 to mid June 2024.
Child Development Units are preferred, but not required.

*Site Supervisor:* The Site Supervisor serves in a leadership role and creates positive, fun and safe experiences for the children in our care.
Provides direction for the staff to support children in the program and implements program curriculum.
Develops positive relations with school campus as a program representative.
Serves as a liaison between on site staff, school personnel and our administrative office.
Able to perform administrative duties such as handle and update student rosters, filing student records, checking and confirming messages from site/company phone.
Offers support to the Enrichment Teachers when and where needed.
May have to lead/teach a lesson in the areas of art, music, science, and physical education.
May have to assist with homework during study hall.
Ensures close visual supervision of children.
Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and special events.
Promotes a positive relationship with parents by making a point to greet them daily and informing them of any relevant information in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and clutter free working environment.
Organize room before and clean room and playground after program.
Complete written incident reports as necessary.
Creates staff schedules.
Trains and motivates staff.
Takes necessary action to address staff performance that does not meet company/program standards and expectations.
Takes inventory of materials the administrative office provides and requests supplies if and when needed.
Checks in regularly with Program Coordinator and our Administrative Office to communicate any updates or concerns.
Be familiar with company mission, philosophy, policies and procedures.
Staff members must adhere to the start time below.
Times are subject to change according to the school's schedule and ratio of students.
*Hours:* M/W/Th/F: 1:30 PM-6 PM.
(12:30 PM-6 PM on Tuesdays) _\*\*Please note, this is a __*PART-TIME*_ _position.

_ *Requirements:* -A minimum of 1 to 2-year experience working with children in a supervisory role, preferably in an after-school setting.
-Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
-You must be reliable, punctual and have great communication skills (both verbal and written).
-The ability to walk, climb/stairs, stand, run, reach/stretch, bend, kneel, sit -Must be able to work as a team.
-Must have reliable transportation -Has a happy demeanor, is creative, nurturing, exercises good judgment -Must be available Monday through Friday for the times stated above.
-Must be able to pass a Live Scan, TB test and basic physical exam.
We will accept current copies if they are valid and up to date.
If not, you must be able to cover the costs for these requirements.
