*Turning Point School Job Posting* *Job Title:* Part-Time Auxiliary Teacher for Elementary *Reports To:* Early Childhood Division Head *SUMMARY:* Turning Point School seeks a part-time Auxiliary Teacher to work with elementary students in Kindergarten through 4th grade in our After School Care program.

Competitive hourly salary of $19.

00, based on experience.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* · Lead the care of students in Kindergarten through 4th grade in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment · Prepare for and clean up after class activities and in shared learning spaces · Coordinate with Head Teachers regarding individual students · Support the preparation of indoor and outdoor learning environments in line with our whole child instructional philosophy · Work with the instructional team to set behavioral expectations and help students stay accountable · Actively participate in faculty culture committed to being at the leading edge of Early Childhood -Grade 8 education · Perform other related duties as required *Qualifications* The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* · Is comfortable and truly enjoys interacting with many different children and adults in a diverse and dynamic community · Knowledge of student-centered, collaborative, and inquiry-based teaching methodologies · Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic teaching team · A strong comfort level with organizational, time management, and follow-through skills · Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills · Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all constituents in an evolving diverse, inclusive community · Commitment to developing cultural competencies around diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and antiracism · Desire for ongoing professional development, particularly as related to academic and cultural competencies · Dedicated to approaching their work and interaction with others with professionalism, respect, discretion, judgment, and integrity · A true desire to teach and to learn from young people · Willingness to take calculated risks and invite leadership opportunities as they arise · Commitment to life-long learning and staying current with research on best practices · An inclination towards curiosity, innovation, kindness, agility, integrity, compassion, and purpose are also highly valued *Education and/or Experience* · Experience in or familiarity with student instruction is preferred Turning Point seeks candidates who will contribute to and are committed to diversity and multicultural educational practices, who demonstrate skills in cross-cultural teaching and leadership practices, and who are dedicated to working in a diverse community.
