*THE FAMILY | *This sweet and loving family seeks a full-time, career nanny for their five- year-old daughter.
The family's parenting and discipline philosophy is best described as "Gentle Parenting".
This family needs someone extremely flexible with their weekly and weekend availability.
The parents have sporadic but consistent work schedules, getting their schedules a week or two ahead.
Sometimes, a parent has to travel for work, and occasionally, the family goes together.
The hours will vary each week.
There is a need for weekend evenings, but not all the time.
Due to the nature of the parents' work, last-minute changes can happen.
For example, if the parents find out the night before they have to be at work earlier than expected and won’t be able to drop their daughter off at school, or if a parent is out of town and the other has to be at work very early.
And some days, the parent's work day runs longer.
This role is for someone who can fully submerge themselves into this family’s world.
When the parents can, they give extra days off to balance the heavier weeks.
*THE DAUGHTER | *She is described as kind, empathetic, curious, playful, and a bit adventure- seeking.
She gets frustrated when she is misunderstood so someone with good communication skills is important.
She is loving and wants to feel loved in return.
She will give you all the cuddles you could ever want.
She loves creative play, drawing, making things, singing, dancing, and playing outside.
There’s not much she dislikes, but she gets frustrated when things seem unfair (another kid won’t share, etc.
).
Monday through Friday (other than during scheduled holiday time), she has school from 9 AM to 3 PM and must be picked up before 3 PM.
She is allowed a little TV when she gets up in the morning while eating breakfast, and again during dinner.
She wakes up anywhere between 6:45 and 8 AM, has dinner around 5:30 PM, then a bath (she loves to play in the bath), and then goes to sleep around 8:30 PM.
She’s allergic (anaphylactic) to cashews and pistachios, so there are none in the house.
She has an intolerance to eggs and dairy—her parents try to give her small amounts in baked goods and let her have cake, etc.
, at birthday parties.
She will sometimes complain of a scratchy tongue and stomach ache after having a little dairy, but sometimes, she’s fine.
She won’t eat meat, so she is basically vegan.
*THE JOB DETAILS | *Play, engage and be a positive yet professional playmate for the daughter.
She thrives with someone creative, imaginative, and ready to play.
Pick ups/drop offs to school and other activities and be a trusted companion in the absence of her parents.
Be flexible and accommodating to the parent's work schedules, which can impact the overall weekly hours and days the nanny is required to work.
Travel with the family—it can be a few weeks at a time.
Stay overnight when requested.
Work long days—starting early or ending later.
Occasionally work weekend days (if needed to work on the weekend, two weekdays will be given as days off that week).

They guarantee 35 hours a week.
The base coverage is Monday through Friday, 3 PM to 8:30/9 PM.
