We are in the process of getting our state Child Care license and looking to hire a team we can call family.
We are seeking supportive, fun and creative Teacher's Aides for our After School Program to assist Lead teachers in the classroom and help students develop and strengthen their emotional, social and spiritual growth.
Our After School Program is an extension of New City Church.
Our desire is for all our children to learn, play and grow in a safe and loving Christian environment.

*After School Teacher's Aide (Part-Time):* Teacher's Aides will be responsible for helping the Lead Teacher implement enrichment programs (i.
e.
art, drama, music, yoga, dance, recreation, science, cooking, etc.
), and assist in all other work-related duties.
We provide on the job training and encourage staff to continue in their education.
Teacher's Aide positions have room to grow towards Lead Teacher positions.
Ideal candidates will be great communicators, dependable, hard-working, creative, positive, a team player and most importantly, love children.
Teacher's Aides will report and work under the direction of the Assigned Lead Teacher as well as report to the Executive and Assistant Directors.
Part Time flexible shifts available Monday-Friday, 1:00p-3:45p or 1:00p-6:00p with potential to add Morning Shift hours on the occasional School Closure Days.
*Job Duties:* * Carry out the mission and goals of New City Church and the After School Program * Open and clear communication with children, parents and other staff, both verbal and written * Promote and model good habits and communication * Maintain a professional and approachable appearance * Maintain a safe and clean environment * Prepare and gather materials/supplies and any prep needed prior to start of programs * Assist other staff as needed * Work under clear communication and guidance from Lead Teacher * Assist children with homework help, age-appropriate enrichment activities, hygiene, and other life skills.
* Visual supervision of children at all times * Cover classrooms during Lead Teacher breaks * Participate in weekly meetings and/or trainings * Ensure compliance of all state regulations and policies * Other duties as assigned *Desirable Qualifications:* * High school Diploma or equivalent * 6 months or more experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable childcare program *Requirements:* * Valid CA Driver's License * CPR and First Aid Trained and Certified * Completion of Free Online Integrated Pest Certification * Completion of Free Online Mandated Reporter Certification * Health Screen with Negative TB test and Vaccination Proof of Tdap and MMR.
* Live Scan * 6 Completed Early Childhood Education units, and completion of 3 more units a semester following initial employment until 12 units are completed.
(unfortunately, this is non-negotiable as it is a requirement under the State Licensing Rules our program is under.
) *Benefits:* * Flexible Schedule * Program will expense all costs for CPR/First Aid and LIVESCAN if contracted after the 90 day probation period * On the job Training * Free Childcare (based on availability) *Other Important Info:* * Experience working in a child care center is preferred, but we will train you to excel in a child care environment if you have the passion for it.
* Classroom duties include but are not limited to preparing and serving snacks, keeping a safe and clean room, following a daily schedule and routine, keeping appropriate logs and ensuring compliance with Title 22 Policies and State Regulations.
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor with children, lifting minimum of 40lbs, and ability to keep level headed in all situations including emergencies.
