*THE FAMILY | *Located near Universal Studios, this warm and lovely family is seeking a weekend nanny to help care for their twin boys, who just turned four at the end of September.
This family believes in gentle and mindful parenting and discipline techniques.
They follow and express an interest in RIE, Dr.
Siegel, Dr.
Siggie, etc.
, allowing their boys to find and pursue their own interests safely yet engagingly.
Ideally, the family wants their weekend nanny to be familiar with these methods or express an interest in learning the techniques.
(A Montessori background works too!) The family also wants their weekend nanny to commit to working temporarily through the end of March
*THE TWIN BOYS| *Twin boys.
Current age 4 years old.
They love play-based learning, exploration, and engagement.
They follow a daily routine.
The boys' personalities are opposite to one another - one being more extroverted, outgoing, and curious at home but can be more reserved in new settings or meeting new faces, and the other a creative introvert.
Both are learning how to navigate the world around them and their feelings.
They love to play and go for walks in their neighborhood.
They enjoy cooking and baking.
Both require physical as well as emotional and mental age-appropriate stimulation.
*THE JOB DETAILS | *Be a playful yet responsible and consistent playmate for the twins by providing age-appropriate activities, engagement, and stimulation.
Most activities will be home-based, so imaginative, creative, outdoor, and sensory play is strongly encouraged.
Create a fun, engaging, and safe play-based learning environment for the boys to thrive.
Take the boys to their age-appropriate activities.
Follow the lead of both parents on best practices and methods for their boys.
Support all aspects of their care, including but not limited to the day-to-day routine, general hygiene/cleanliness, creating age-appropriate activities, meal preps, dishes, boy's laundry, tidying/picking up after children and self, etc.
*THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | *Loves being a nanny and enjoys caring for multiple children simultaneously.
Has experience working with 4-year-old boys.
Has a basic understanding of RIE Parenting/Montessori or a willingness to learn the methods/practices.
Enjoys home-based, age-appropriate activities.
Has a basic understanding of child development and how to nurture and stimulate young minds.
Able to work every Saturday and occasionally Sunday through the end of February.
Reliable, patient, consistent, and communicative.
Active and energetic.
Has the energy to keep up with two boys and a calm demeanor.
Has the ability to establish boundaries in a loving and thoughtful manner and be consistent with them.
Someone who enjoys partnering with the parents.
Takes the initiative with play-based activities and engagement, recognizing their different personalities.
Maintains the boys’ routine.

*THE REQUIREMENTS | *A minimum of five years of professional nanny experience.
Previous preschool-age experience, ideally working with twin boys.
Previous preschool or educator experience is a perk.
Vaccinations: someone who follows science and gets annual vaccinations.
Able and willing to work every Saturday and occasionally Sunday through the end of March.
The nanny needs their own reliable means of transportation to and from work.
The nanny will most likely be provided a vehicle for on-the-job driving when driving the children.
Clear background and driving record.
*THE QUALIFICATIONS | *A minimum of five years of childcare experience working with 4-year- old boys, preschoolers, or as a nanny caring for 4-year-old boys.
Previous professional nanny experience.
CPR/First Aid Certification in Pediatrics and Adults.
Stellar references.
*THE SCHEDULE | *Saturday 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM, occasional earlier start or later finish (for date nights).
Occasional Sundays, when needed.
*THE RATE | *$35 per hour
