Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote the overall development of children
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive and productive learning atmosphere
- Provide individualized attention to each child, addressing their unique needs and abilities
- Foster social-emotional development through activities that promote cooperation, empathy, and self-expression
- Assess student progress through observation, assessments, and parent conferences
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to support the child's educational journey
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to plan and implement engaging lessons that promote literacy education
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment
- Passionate about working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
- Knowledge of child welfare regulations and ability to ensure compliance
