La la land daycare is looking for an assistant teacher that exhibits a genuine nurturing and caring attitude towards all children.
We are looking for someone who is capable of maintaining a positive calm attitude & can multitask!
Job Specifics:
* Working with two teachers in a class of 11-12 children ages 7-36 months.
* Monday - Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 9am-4:00pm.
Hours negotiable.
* At least one year experience with young children.
References are required.
* A degree in a childhood related field is preferred but not required.
Daycare Assistant Responsibilities:
* Providing care for children, such as setting schedules & routines, feeding, changing diapers, cleaning rooms & toys.
* Developing & encouraging age-appropriate learning & socialization to ensure all children learn basic skills and concepts such as communication, manners, etc.
* Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
* Helping children discover new interest by introducing them to art, music, sports, and other potential hobbies.
* Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance or approved discipline as needed.
Daycare Assistant Requirements:
* Must be enthusiastic and love to teach
* Have or get C.
P.
R, first aid, health and safety
* Will need to be finger printed live scanned for a background check.
* A valid state issued ID or drivers license
* Live close to the job location within 15 miles radius
* Will need to get a T.
B skin test.
* Attentive to the needs & safety of children
* Great communication, teaching & interpersonal skills
* Decisiveness, patience & stamina to chase after, lift, or carry children
What will your typical day be like:
Everyday is an adventure! You will be responsible for the care & well-being of little ones including diapering/toileting, meals/snacks, rest time, outdoor play, curriculum, communication, & close supervision.
Combine all with songs, stories, & silliness & you have a typical day at La la land daycare.
