*Description:*
Prepares and/or serves snacks and hot lunches for children enrolled in Childcare Center.
Plans weekly menus, develops shopping lists, calculates amounts of food and makes purchases.
Organizes and cleans kitchen according to health department standards.
Maintain nutritional requirements as identified by supervisor.
*Accountability:*
Site Supervisor of Clinic Tower Childcare Center and in their absence Director of CARES Child & Family Program
*Physical Effort:*
Moderate physical activity.
Requires handling and lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, squatting, stooping, and standing and/or walking for more than for (4) hours per day.

*Responsibilities:*
· Proposes menus for daily snacks and lunches on a quarterly basis and submits to supervisor for nutritional content.
· Submits weekly food order to appropriate department on weekly basis.
· Prepares snacks and lunches to be served on schedule identified by supervisor; assists in serving children during mealtime.
· Cleans and maintains kitchen area in a sanitary, safe and organized manner as required by the Center and health department.
· Promotes positive morale and teamwork within the department and provides exceptional customer service to students, families, and staff.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
