Sales Account Executive
POSITION SUMMARY:
An established, B2B packaging products company (with four warehouses across the nation) is looking for a results-oriented, self-motivated Sales Account Executive with an existing book of business within the packaging (corrugated boxes, tapes, bags, mailers, cushioning, labels, etc.
) industry.
This position has responsibility for sales in a defined territory and will meet personal sales targets.
The Sales Account Executive will be accountable for profitable management and growth of new and existing customers/accounts.
This sales professional will report directly to the President & CEO, and indirectly to the COO and Director of Operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Use your existing book of business to prospect accounts, grow sales pipeline, and generate sales revenues
• Engage in lead generation activities to identify new B2B sales accounts/opportunities and expand your B2B sales/account pipeline
• Initiate customer relationships and close product sales to (new and existing) accounts
• Manage and communicate with existing accounts to achieve customer satisfaction and increase customer loyalty and customer lifetime value (LTV)
• Grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and up-selling of company’s products
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, etc.
) to process sales orders and manage the delivery of products to your customers
• Respond to questions regarding the company’s products and services
• Work closely with senior leadership to identify new product or market opportunities that will lead to increased sales/account opportunities for you and the organization
• Partner with and collaborate closely with Account Receivables department to accelerate quick and timely payments from your customers/accounts
• Actively pursue cost reduction and margin improvement activities for your customers/accounts
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Corrugated and packaging industry sales experience preferred
• Proficient in managing, tracking, and executing the sales cycle
• An understanding of the Consultative Selling Method and ability to sell using a consultative, problem-solving approach
• Time management and prospecting skills
• Seasoned professional with sales and account management experience
• A Rain Maker with an inner drive and passion for sales
• Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to comprehend and communicate at all levels (inside and outside) of an organization
• Organized, customer-focused, pro-active, professional, dependable, and self-motivated
• Minimum of 1 year account management experience
• Minimum of 1 year of sales experience
• Valid U.
S.
driver’s license
• Ability to travel as needed to meet your quota and responsibilities needs
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm business operations.
Sales Executive has flexibility to work remotely and travel as needed.
COMPENSATION:
1st year: Annual salary and commission package (based on experience and qualifications).
2nd and thereafter: Commission only (based on experience and qualifications).
