Job Overview: The HR and Administrative Coordinator aids with the human resource and administrative processes at the Hawthorne, CA location.
Supports recruiting, employee labor relations, compensation, benefits, onboarding, compliance and employee records.
Includes scheduling interviews, assists with pre-employment compliance processes, and responds to routine questions on HR policy.
Related Education, Experience & Skills: * Minimum of two years related HR customer service experience required.
* Union experience preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Essential Functions: * Performs HR customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions with support from Corporate home office.
* Assist supervisors and managers in preparing human resource related documentation including job descriptions, requests-to-hire, and employee change notifications.
* Assists Talent Acquisition team with employment postings, phone interviews, scheduling on-site interviews, and offers.
* Administers new hire and onboarding programs.
* Assists with performance management and disciplinary process.
* Partners with payroll department to ensure accurate employee data is transmitted.
Assists with employee time corrections, incentive calculations, and investigates irregularities.
* Support open enrollment and assist with basic benefits administration.
* Assists in delivering training to new and current employees.
* Manages required employee posters and notifications.
* Files documents into appropriate employee files.
* Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
