*Why this role exists*
Reporting directly to the CEO, the highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Controller will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of our Fund and the wide range of Portfolio Companies (PortCo) that we proudly support.

*Required*
* 7+ years of progressive financial experience.
4+ years of public accounting experience
3+ years of experience as the controller of a growing companyCPA preferred
* Strong technical accounting and GAAP proficiency is required.
* Experience working across multiple entities - including orchestrating all closings, FP&A duties, audits, treasury, and runway management.
* Including familiarity with 409A valuations, and managing operating models to understand burn and break-even.
* Experience managing a team of accountants with staff both onshore and offshore.
*Outcomes*
* You will maintain and enforce the organization’s accounting principles, practices, policies, and procedures.
* You will be in charge of FP&A and monthly budget-to-actuals, runway management (alerting CEOs of forecasting and budget tracking), and annual franchise payments.
* You will be responsible for tax returns for all Cos.
, 1099s, bill payment and management, PortCo payment management, and 409A for all companies.
* You will update financial models to ensure each CEO understands their company's burn rate and general financial standing.
* You will create a strategic plan for the entire department (with 4-5 new entities coming online each year), ensuring sufficient redundancies, etc.
* You will complete financial closes for each portfolio company, and budget-to-actuals will be completed by the 10th of each month.
* You will own the relationship with Mahway and our Portfolio Companies’ bank(s), specifically including lines of credit.
* You will manage all aspects of the treasury function
* You will coordinate the annual audit and tax compliance processes, etc.
*Skills*
* You can build financial models in Google Sheets, not just Excel.
* You use tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, etc.
, to work collaboratively and asynchronously with your team.
* You are highly organized and a great delegator.
* You have hired and managed teams of junior finance and accounting professionals.
* You are digitally savvy.
*In the first 12 months*
* You will oversee the rolling and keeping up-to-date insurance, D+O, E+O, cyber, etc.
* You will ensure that payroll runs smoothly using our PEO, JustWorks.
* You will ensure tax returns + 1099s are filed on time with no extensions.
