Description
Senior Accounting Manager is a collaborative partner responsible for the day-to-day accounting of the Corporate and Family accounting department.
This role is an integral part of the accounting team and designed to support the safeguarding of assets, and financial data integrity.
Responsibilities include entering transactions into Yardi, A/P, A/R, and month end close processes including reconciling balance sheet accounts and updating loan amortization schedules.
Candidate is also expected to analyze account balances and propose adjusting journal entries in an effort to “clean up” the books.
Success in this role requires that monthly accounting processes continue to be refined, supporting timely, accurate financial and operations reporting, and an acute understanding of business and financial issues for specific assets goals to be achieved.
This position is 100% in the office.
Performance Expectations and Accountabilities:
Timely entry of transactions, prepare financial statements for review.
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts (up to 50) and other balance sheet accounts.
Prepare journal entries for monthly financial activities.
Maintain stand-alone A/P function, and A/R function.
Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and tax team or with other departments
Review and track required reporting to lenders and other parties.
Maintain amortization schedules for outstanding loans, internal and external.
Perform special projects as assigned
Requirements: Education, Experience, Competencies:
BS in Accounting, Finance or Real Estate.
Strong Excel skills, Yardi experience.
Commercial real estate accounting experience
CPA license preferred / CPA eligible
Excellent communication skills.
Desire to grow and develop both professionally and personally.
